I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I received his MSW from the University of Michigan, with Special Studies in Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
I have been working with substance abuse clients and families of substance abusers throughout my career. I continue to build my knowledge of substance abuse disorders and co-occurring disorders through continuing education.
In addition to providing services as a Clinical Therapist, I have experience in program development, supervision, and in community relations. I have worked as an outpatient therapist not only in substance abuse but also in geriatrics and as a therapist for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Never one to disregard innovations in this ever-expanding field, I continue to train and review new and exciting therapies in an ongoing effort to provide you with the highest, most effective service possible. I have found that Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy is very helpful I also use Role play, Positive Psychology, and Humor Therapy in my sessions.
On a more personal note, I have 2 cats, Dax and Jambalaya. Dax is a Tuxedo cat (he looks good in a formal outfit, and Jambalaya is a tortoiseshell (but she doesn't look like a tortoise.

I have become a bird watcher in the past 3 years and love sitting on the deck and watch the birds...and squirrels...feed.
